Hallandale, FL (Sports Network) - Hall of Fame jockey Pat Day is scheduled to resume competitive riding on Thursday at Gulfstream Park. Day has been out of action since last November. Day has been named on three mounts for Thursday card. In the eighth race he will be aboard the highly regarded With Anticipation. With Anticipation last raced back in July of 2003. The veteran jockey underwent rotator cuff surgery late last year. The 50-year- old Day is a four-time winner of the Eclipse Award as Champion Jockey. Meanwhile, Gulfstream Park cancelled racing on Monday. Heavy rains have made the track unsafe to race. The racetrack cancelled racing on Sunday after the first two races. The jockeys refused to ride due to poor track conditions. Gulfstream Park to scheduled to resume racing on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
