Uncle Mo early favorite for last Kentucky Derby Future Wager

Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - Eclipse Award winner Uncle Mo is the opening 3-1 favorite for the final Kentucky Derby Future Wager. The wagering pool gets underway this Friday at noon (et) and ends Sunday at 6 p.m. (et).

The pool is comprised of 23 individual three-year-olds and the mutuel field.

Uncle Mo, 2010 Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner, was the 3-1 favorite among the 24 betting interests when wagering concluded in the second Future Pool. The colt, trained by Todd Pletcher, won his first start of the year in the Timely Writer Stakes this month at Gulfstream Park.

Owned by Mike Repole, Uncle Mo will make his last start before the Kentucky Derby in the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct on April 9.

The Factor, trained by Bob Baffert, is second at 6-1. The colt has won the Rebel and San Vicente Stakes this year and is expected to start the Arkansas Derby on April 16 at Oaklawn Park.
