Major shakeup in Three-Year-Old Poll

By: SPORTS NETWORK

New York, NY (Sports Network) - As expected, there is a major reshuffling in the NTRA National Three-Year-Old Poll following Saturday's surprise loss in the Wood Memorial by champion colt Uncle Mo. Injuries also played a factor in the new rankings.

Assuming the lead in the poll is Florida Derby winner Dialed In. The Nick Zito trained colt, who was second last week, gained 14 first-place votes and 176 points.

Bob Baffert's The Factor also moves up one spot into second with two top votes and 148 points. The colt will start in Saturday's $1 million Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park.

Wood Memorial upset winner Toby's Corner enters the poll in third place with 112 points. The colt is trained by Graham Motion for owner Dianne Cotter.

Uncle Mo falls to fourth after his loss Saturday as the 1-10 favorite. The Eclipse Award winner received a first-place vote and has 97 points. Trainer Todd Pletcher and owner Mike Repole said Sunday the colt is still headed for the Kentucky Derby.

Also entering the rankings this week is Santa Anita Derby champ Midnight Interlude. Another Baffert colt, the 13-1 winner on Saturday picked up 76 points -- good enough for fifth place.

Mucho Macho Man remains sixth with 73 points. He is followed by Pants On Fire with 45 points, Shackleford (37), Soldat (36) and Jaycito (31).

Injuries to Premier Pegasus and To Honor and Serve knocked them out of the top 10.

Game On Dude and Tackleberry hold on to the first two positions in the NTRA National Thoroughbred Poll.

Santa Anita Handicap winner Game On Dude received six first-place votes and 130 points. The four-year-old gelding is slated to start Saturday night in the $1 million Charles Town Classic.

Tackleberry has 124 points including four top votes.

Giant Oak moves two spots to third with 84 points and two first-place votes.

Four-year-old filly Havre de Grace gains three rungs to fourth with 80 points. She is followed by Big Drama (1 first-place, 74), Dialed In (66), Morning Line (56), Twirling Candy (1, 51). Mission Impazible (2, 46) and Goldikova (2, 45).
