HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

PIMLICO

ART OF THE HUNT: Showed improved early and overall interest en route to career-best score in her latest; stays sharp for Campitelli barn.

DONTSELLMETOFELONS: Returned as fresh face when in for a tag for the first time most recently, and can move forward off second-place finish as the beaten choice; moves forward.

ELUSIVE ONE: Battled between rivals and weakened to finish fourth in her racing debut; thinking turf brings out the best in daughter of Elusive Quality out of Dixieland Band mare.

FEARLESS COWBOY: Lagged early, moved wide, and made up some ground to finish fourth of nine over sloppy ground in his latest; winning Trombetta barn calls the shots.

JOEPAUL’STREASURE: Battled inside on the pace and succumbed to winner when a game second in her latest; next time with similar crew, she can get the job done.

KANSAS TORNADO: Now has a pair of starts under his belt since back from September-layoff, most recently finishing third in a blanket finish; next time.

LONDON LANE: Returned from another break most recently, and did well to be fourth over muddy ground in off-the-turf spot; upside for trainer L. Murray.

MATTER OF MONEY: Blasted free on the pace and gave out in the lane when fourth in his first start off a brief break following debut run at TAM; leaves maidens behind next time.

YES IT’S REAL: Took tote play for debut, was nowhere early, and picked up some pieces with mild run to finish a distant fourth behind clear winner; expect more early and throughout from son of Yes It’s True next time.

4*SPECIAL: BLUE EYED ANNA T: Showed the way early and stayed on to finish third and her form seems improved since leaving maiden ranks three starts back; continues to progress.

LONGSHOT: BEE TOUCHED: Broke a beat slow, put in a middle move to chase, and faded to finish third behind blowout winner in her latest; can surprise the right crew.

KEENELAND

B L’S TSUMANI: Dueled and gave out to finish 10th in uncharacteristically poor try most recently; proven veteran must be respected here for another shot at surface, or ultimately at CD.

DELANO: Could only manage a fairly even sixth of eight in his first start since February when moved to synthetic for the first time most recently; experience could help, or turf return possible.

DIVALARIOUS: Simply couldn’t find her footing early, fell way out of race, and gained nicely through the lane to finish a narrowly beaten third in her debut; daughter of Distorted Humor with upside.

DUKE OF DEL REY: Gained second behind blowout winner when making his racing debut with seven-pound “bug” aboard at long odds; experience counts.

KING TING (IRE): Rallied to finish a narrowly beaten fifth when in with winners for the first time most recently; respect Motion barn.

MISS LAA DI DA (GB): Now has a couple of starts under her saddle since in from overseas off a September-layoff; primed for breakout for strong Sheppard barn.

NDONGO: Put in a more than acceptable try for sixth at long odds when at ALW level for his first start since February; likely to handle claimers in return.

SARAH’S KITTEN: Got involved too late when third as the choice in her latest by way of TP; follow for winning Maker barn.

STRIKEWHILEITSHOT: Pressed the pace, struck the lead in the stretch, and stayed on to finish a game second in synthetic return most recently; Amoss barn clicking at 29% this year.

4*SPECIAL: CHAMPAGNE RUN: Rated, moved to challenge, and stayed on for a close fourth of 10 in her racing debut; Asmussen trainee seems one to watch for ultimate move to turf given her bloodlines.

LONGSHOT: ISLAND BOUND: Flopped when seventh in her latest after she showed more early lick than is her custom; return to turf likely to bring out better try.
