Full field of 14 to go in Preakness

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Kentucky Derby champ Animal Kingdom will be one of 14 three-year-olds that will start in Saturday's $1 million Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course. Post positions will be drawn this afternoon beginning at 5 p.m. (et).

Five horses are coming out of the Run for the Roses with nine new three-year- olds completing the field. It has been six years since the maximum of 14 horses have started in the middle jewel of racing's Triple Crown.

Here are the entries with jockey and trainer: Animal Kingdom, John Velazquez, Graham Motion; Astrology, Mike Smith, Steve Asmussen; Concealed Identity, Sheldon Russell, Eddie Gaudet; Dance City, Ramon Dominguez, Todd Pletcher; Dialed In, Julien Leparoux, Nick Zito; Flashpoint, Cornelio Velasquez, Wesley Ward; Isn't He Perfect, Edgar Prado, D. Shivmangal; King Congie, Robby Albarado, Tom Albertrani; Midnight Interlude, Martin Garcia, Bob Baffert; Mr. Commons, Victor Espinoza, John Shirreffs; Mucho Macho Man, Rajiv Maragh, Kathy Ritvo; Norman Asbjornson, Julian Pimentel, Chris Grove; Shackleford, Jesus Castanon, Dale Romans and Sway Away, Garrett Gomez, Jeff Bonde.

Post-time on Saturday is 6:25 p.m. (et) and the weather forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high temperature of 83.
