Animal Kingdom and Shackleford lead Three-Year-Old Poll

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Kentucky Derby champ Animal Kingdom and Preakness Stakes winner Shackleford continue to lead the way in the NTRA Three-Year-Old Poll. They are the only horses to receive first-place votes from among the 19 voters.

Animal Kingdom is first with 17 top votes and 187 points. Shackleford received the other two first-place votes and is solidly in second with 168 points. The two colts will start in Saturday's 143rd Belmont Stakes.

Kentucky Derby runner-up Nehro is third in the voting with 126 points. The colt will also start in the final jewel of racing's Triple Crown after skipping the Preakness.

Completing the poll are Mucho Macho Man (102), Dialed In (88), Astrology (77), Plum Pretty (60), Toby's Corner (44), Uncle Mo (40) and Master of Hounds (25).

Fox Hill Farm's Havre de Grace remains in the top spot in the National Thoroughbred Poll. Undefeated in both starts this year, the four-year-old filly received six first-place votes and 131 points. She will make her next start in Saturday's Obeah Stakes at Delaware Park.

Tizway, winner of the Met Mile, jumps into second with one first-place vote and 100 points.

Animal Kingdom is third with two first-place votes and 90 points.

In fourth place is Game On Dude who received 74 points, including a first- place vote.

Champion mare Goldikova is fifth with 72 points and seven top votes.

Rounding out the top 10 are Get Stormy (66), Blind Luck (64), Twirling Candy (1, 62), Duke of Mischief (58) and First Dude (1, 56).
