Belmont Stakes winners head to Charles Town

By: SPORTS NETWORK

Charles Town, WV (Sports Network) - A week after winning the final jewel in racing's Triple Crown, owners George and Lori Hall, along with trainer Kelly Breen, go for another stakes win with a three-year-old. The Belmont Stakes- winning group will start Nacho Saint in Saturday's $400,000 Red Legend Stakes for three-year-olds at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.

Nacho Saint will start from the far outside post in the 10 horse field along with Jose Valdivia Jr., who rode Ruler On Ice to capture the Belmont Stakes.

As a two-year-old, Nacho Saint finished second in the Sanford Stakes at Saratoga. This year he was fourth in the Gotham Stakes and sixth in the Sunland Derby where Ruler On Ice finished third. He is coming off a second- place result in an allowance race as the 6-5 favorite.

Preakness Stakes winning trainer Dale Romans and jockey Jesus Castanon will have different rooting interests in the race.

Romans will send out Black N Beauty and Castanon will ride Decisive Moment.

Black N Beauty will break from post four with Travis Dunkelberger in the saddle. A stablemate of Preakness champ Shackleford, the colt is also owned by Ahmed Zayat. He was fifth in the Holy Bull Stakes, did not finish the Hutcheson, but came back to be runner-up in the Woodstock Stakes and fourth in the Queenston at Woodbine.

Castanon and Decisive Moment will start from post eight for trainer Juan Arias and owner Just For Fun Stables. The colt was second in the Vinery Spiral Stakes at Turfway Park to eventual Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom.

"His race against Animal Kingdom just gave me all the confidence in the world in my horse," said Arias. "The pace was unreal that day and he put all the other pace horses away. He just got caught in the stretch."

The seven-furlong Red Legend will be a two-turn stakes on Charles Town's six- furlong main track.

Here is the complete field for the Red Legend in position order: Der Meister, Oscar Flores; Loranger Native, M. Clifton Berry; B G Suavecito, Joel Hiraldo; Black N Beauty, Travis Dunkelberger; Vee's Accolade, Clifford D. Dooley; J P's Gusto, J.D. Acosta; Yankee Passion, Ramon Vazquez; Decisive Moment, Jesus Castanon; Little Drama, Kendrick Carmouche and Nacho Saint, Jose Valdivia, Jr.

Post-time for the race is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. (et).
