Bret Jones elected to Breeders' Cup board

Lexington, KY (Sports Network) - Breeders' Cup Limited announced Wednesday that Bret Jones of Airdrie Stud has been elected to the board of directors of the organization. Gaining re-election to new four-year terms were Robert Manfuso and Richard Santulli.

Jones was a 2004 graduate of The University of the South (Sewanee) and a graduate of the Irish National Stud breeding course in 2005. The 31-year-old is the son of Airdrie Stud owner and former Kentucky Governor Brereton Jones.

At the election meeting board Chairman Tom Ludt introduced new Breeders' Cup president and CEO Craig Fravel to the members. Fravel will begin work as president on July 18.
