Breeders' Cup post draw moved to Monday

Lexington, KY (Sports Network) - A change in the day that post positions for the Breeders' Cup World Championships will be drawn has been announced. After four years of having the draw on the Tuesday before the races, the post positions will be determined this year on Monday, October 31.

The two-day Breeders' Cup will be held on November 4-5 at Churchill Downs, and for the first time will have 15 races worth $26 million. This will be the second straight year that Churchill Downs will host the event.

ABC and ESPN will provide televised coverage over the two days.

The 2010 World Championships were highlighted by Goldikova winning her third consecutive Breeders' Cup Mile and Blame holding off champion mare Zenyatta in the Classic.
