Ritvo promoted to President at Gulfstream

Hallandale Beach, FL (Sports Network) - Timothy Ritvo has been promoted to President and General Manager of Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino. The Stronach Group, owner of the historic track, made the announcement Monday.

Ritvo had been Vice President of Gulfstream since October, 2010 and has an extensive background in thoroughbred racing. Married to trainer Kathy Ritvo, Timothy served as an official at Suffolk Downs and then became a trainer based in Florida.

"It's an honor to work for Mr. Frank Stronach and the entire Stronach Group," Ritvo said. "Mr. Stronach has made Gulfstream a premier destination and his investment in Florida racing is unparalleled. Gulfstream and Palm Meadows (training center) continue to be the winter home of champions, including five of the last six Kentucky Derby winners, and we are looking forward to building on Mr. Stronach's vision of Gulfstream Park as one of the finest entertainment facilities in the world."

Ritvo replaces Steve Calabro who resigned in June.
