HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

TURF PARADISE

ADDIE GO: Went very well for second when trying both winners and turf for the first time in her

latest; plenty to build on.

CAPTAIN SPEED: Brings deep-closing style that we are always leery of, but this gelding almost always ends up

in the mix; a must in gimmicks.

EAGLETON: Went evenly late when fourth in latest, but has fired much better shots in the past; back-classy

veteran is a 12-time winner of more than $715K who is one of our favorites.

GATO BOB: Scored in game fashion when making switch to turf in latest; exciting 3YO prospect for

trainer Oliver.

GRIMM: Brings plenty of early zip, and has winning profile (7-for-13); successful sprinting and also in routes and

even on turf.

HULA KAT: Raced with pace and stayed on well to finish second, beaten a length, as the favorite in her

latest; looks to be in career form.

LEXIE’S CHARM: Lower-end claimer can surprise the right group; offered mild bid in latest, but had rocky

start – prior third-place finish caught our eye.

LINDA O: Bid to contention, but faded to third as failed favorite in latest; claimed by trainer Dahle, this filly’s diploma

should now be stamped past due.

PITUFA: Has raced close up only to tire in each of her two starts since return from brief break; rumbles early and

shows her best stuff next time.

TURKISH ZAAR: Fired a big second in return from break two starts back, and perhaps felt the effects when flat in

latest; bounces back.

4STARSPECIAL: TOLUCA EXIT: Lightly raced sort should only improve given experience gained versus

winners; early speed is part of an attractive package.

LONGSHOT: ARTHUR ROY: Packs late punch and has finished first or second in 21 of 56 career tries; veteran a

must-use with lower-end claimers.

TURFWAY

ALLDAFAX: Forced the pace from the inside while contesting solid fractions before settling for fourth. Try right back

with maiden claimers.

DIG THIS HOSS: Was reserved early on, came with a strong wide run and drew away to score by an easy two

lengths. Can move up and score.

HELEN O: Was in striking distance early but may have had too far too come when racing wide, finishing third,

price play.

MILITARY MISSION: Was off to a slow start, never really got going over off track and finished next to last as the

favorite. Give this one another try over a fast track.

PAGE ME LATER: Was clearly second best to the heavy favorite last out finishing a clear second. Fits nicely with

$35k claimers.

PROMISE HER DAMOON: Chased the leader through fast fractions, took over and just got run down late at 40-1.

Graduates with similar effort at a price.

RED CIELO: Made a strong bid while racing wide, reached the lead but could not hold off the 3-5 favorite. Veteran

scores with $5k claimers.

RICH FIND: Chased the leader for ¾’s of a mile and was still there in the stretch just missing the show spot.

SKIP IRISH: Broke maiden against $15k maiden claimers and did that closing from last. Well bred colt should improve

with distance, follow with conditioned claimers.

WOMAN’S TOUCH: Was far back early on, settled, before coming with a strong five wide run to score going away.

4STARSPECIAL: KING OF SPEED: Chased a fast pace from gate to wire and was almost 10 lengths clear of the

third place finisher, sharp now.

LONGSHOT: FUSTY: Set some solid splits and held that lead until the stretch before setting for fourth only a ½ length

out of second. Was 27-1 that day and should offer value next out.
