Leaders remain in place in NTRA Polls

New York, NY (Sports Network) - No significant changes to report in the latest NTRA Polls. Four-year-old colt Mucho Macho Man and three-year-old Union Rags continue to lead in their respective categories.
Mucho Macho Man keeps his spot atop the National Poll with 20 first-place votes and 444 points. Trained by Kathy Ritvo, the colt is working towards the Alysheba at Churchill Downs on May 4.
Reigning Horse of the Year Havre de Grace garnered three more top votes than Mucho Macho Man but stays second with 435 points. The five-year-old mare will start in the La Troienne at Churchill Downs the same day as the Alysheba.
The next three spots in the poll are unchanged from last week with Alternation receiving one first-place vote and 268 points followed by Awesome Maria with 250 points and Ron The Greek in fifth with 209 points.
Completing the top 10 are Ben Ali winner Wise Dan (6, 202), Game On Dude (179), Awesome Feather (150), Jackson Bend (116) and Nates Mineshaft (2, 106).
Only five points separate Union Rags and Bodemeister in the Three-Year-Old Poll.
Union Rags leads the way with 18 first-place votes and 440 points. Arkansas Derby winner Bodemeister is right behind with 14 top votes and 435 points. Both colts will be among the favorites for the Kentucky Derby on May 5.
Wood Memorial champ Gemologist is third with nine first-place votes and 392 points.
Moving up two spots into third is Santa Anita Derby winner I'll Have Another. The colt picked up seven top votes and 328 points.
Creative Cause, runner-up in the Santa Anita Derby, dropped one rung to fourth getting two top votes and 316 points.
Blue Grass champ Dullahan is sixth with two first-place votes and 291 points.
Eclipse Award winner Hansen follows with one top vote and 180 points.
Completing the poll are Florida Derby winner Take Charge Indy (173, Alpha (168) and Sunland Derby champ Daddy Nose Best (68).
