New York, NY (Sports Network) - Kentucky Derby winner I'll Have Another and five-year-old gelding Wise Dan remain in first-place in the NTRA Three-Year- Old and National Polls, respectively. There was very little in the way of changes behind the leaders.
Trained by Doug O'Neill, I'll Have Another had a total of 405 points, including 36 top votes. The colt, owned by J. Paul Reddam, starts in Saturday's 137th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico.
"I'm just very pumped the way our colt is settling in and training," O'Neill said. "I really look for him to repeat in the Preakness."
Derby runner-up Bodemeister is second with the remaining five first-place votes and 373 points. Monday the colt's owner Ahmed Zayat and trainer Bob Baffert confirmed entry in the Preakness Stakes.
As in last week's voting, the next three positions in the poll correspond to the their finishes in the Run for the Roses. Dullahan, who will not start on Saturday, is third with 294 points with Went the Day Well getting 244 points and Creative Cause staying in fifth with 216 points.
