I'll Have Another happily ensconced at Belmont

By: SPORTS NETWORK

Elmont, NY (Sports Network) - Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner I'll Have Another is enjoying his accommodations at Belmont Park, less than three weeks from the $1 million Belmont Stakes on June 9.

The chestnut colt is under the supervision of Jack Sisterson, assistant to trainer Doug O'Neill. Sisterson was also in charge of I'll Have Another while in Baltimore for the Preakness.

"He walked again this morning," Sisterson said about the colt. "He looks great, fantastic. He's a very happy horse. The main thing with this horse is, we can ship him around, and he settles right in. He just takes everything into stride."

Sisterson noted that I'll Have Another will return to the racetrack later this week and O'Neill should arrive from California early next week.

Owned by J. Paul Reddam, I'll Have Another can become the 12th thoroughbred to capture the Triple Crown by winning the 1 1/2 mile Belmont Stakes. The previous winners are Affirmed (1978), Seattle Slew (1977), Secretariat (1973), Citation (1948), Assault (1946), Count Fleet (1943), Whirlaway (1941), War Admiral (1937), Omaha (1935), Gallant Fox (1930) and Sir Barton (1919).
