I'll Have Another to face 11 in Belmont Stakes

Elmont, NY (Sports Network) - An even dozen three-year-olds will be entered today for Saturday's 144th Belmont Stakes. My Adonis, owned by George and Lori Hall, was a late addition to the field on Tuesday.

"Over the last seven to 10 days he's really shown to be eating well and to looking the part," Lori Hall said yeaterday. "We've just kind of kept in the back of our minds that this could be a possibility, and [trainer] Kelly [Breen] called us today and said, 'I'm getting that good vibe.'"

Tha Halls and Breen won last year's Belmont Stakes with Ruler On Ice. My Adonis was entered in the Kentucky Derby, but was an also-eligible for the race and did not run.

Here is the expected field for the Belmont Stakes with jockeys and trainers: My Adonis, Elvis Trujillo, Kelly Breen; I'll Have Another, Mario Gutierrez, Doug O'Neill; Optimizer, Corey Nakatani, D. Wayne Lukas; Union Rags, John Velazquez, Michael Matz; Dullahan, Javier Castellano, Dale Romans; Paynter, Mike Smith, Bob Baffert; Atigun, Julien Leparoux, Ken McPeek; Five Sixteen, Rosie Napravnik, Dominick Schettino; Guyana Star Dweej, Kent Desormeaux, Doodnauth Shivmangal; Street Life, Jose Lezcano, Chad Brown; Unstoppable U, Junior Alvarado, Ken McPeek and Ravelo's Boy, Alex Solis, Manny Azpurua.
