Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Cliff"s Edge has been scratched from the Preakness due to a sore right front foot. The announcement was made Friday morning after it was determined that the injury, which stemmed from the Kentucky Derby, was not improving. Saturday"s race will now consist of a field of 10. The Cliff"s Edge finished fifth in the Run for the Roses and lost his two front shoes at Churchill Downs. The oddsmakers have made Smarty Jones the 8-5 favorite.
