HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

ARLINGTON

BERFY: Could only manage an even and chasing spot when fourth in latest, but over sloppy ground; gets share of

checks, and deserves play in lower-end claiming sprints.

CHEDDAR: Brings the cheese early, but is best suited to sprints these days; simply could not stay distance after setting tepid

route pace in latest; bounces back.

CICERO GRIMES: Brings upward figures pattern right now, having really showcased sharp edge when second on class hike in

latest; too good to ignore right now.

GAELIC MISS: Brings plenty of early speed and earns share of checks; has shown good speed and held form over course of last

four starts, so don’t ignore.

JILL RABBIT: Only began rolling in late stages of latest sloppy-track sprint, but did manage third in race taken by runaway

winner; proves worthwhile claim for trainer Tomillo.

MACH TEN: Took some tote play for career debut, only to chase and give way; bred for speed, he’s deserving of another shot

after catching muddy strip for debut run.

PASS THE PEPPER: Brings high early speed and has won six of 11 career starts; pair of starts since return from break have not

been up to snuff, but she will step up.

WALL STREET AFLEET: Can only move forward following fifth-place finish as beaten favorite in latest, when he met winners and

raced over this course for the first time.

ZAGOR’S WAR: Chased and faded when making first start since last-June in latest, but will no doubt benefit; patience pays.

4STARSPECIAL: GRACILE: Showed improvement in second start of current form cycle, when on pace and staying on

for third; fires best shot yet next time – turf or dirt.

LONGSHOT: STATION MASTER: Flashed early speed and stopped in career debut, but at 21-1 on tote he was claimed by

trainer Cuccurullo (30% this year); interesting to say the least.

SUFFOLK

ANSWER THE STORM: Tried allowance company in first start following claim by trainer Politano and rallied for fourth; gives

barn options now.

BETCHA’S BRAT: Disappointed at 5-2 odds in latest when stepping up following prior win over NW3L types; can do better.

FALL IN LINE: Tried jump in class following Kudla claim from maiden win, and tired after battling on the pace; benefits greatly.

FUTURE FANTASY: Steamrolled maidens at odds-on in first start since February; sharp now and with experience, he can step

up and meet winners effectively now.

MISTER RILEY: Has held his own in finishing third in both starts at increased class level since claimed by trainer Collins; drop

does it now.

NANCY’S SPIRIT: Owns a one-for-30 career mark, but has now been second 11 times following placing behind runaway winner

in latest; don’t ignore in gimmicks.

SIMPLY JOLIE: Failed when well supported on tote and fifth in latest, but should improve off first start following brief break; course

experience a plus, too.

SKYS LAST ANGEL: Has flashed good early speed in a pair of maiden starts to begin career; lightly raced 4YO improves in a

hurry given racing experience.

WINDY WAY: Rallied for place behind runaway winner after racing from wide striking position, and should now be primed to fire

best shot in third start of current form cycle.

ZESTY DIABLO: Raced wide and never showed anything when seventh in first start following break; likely allowance bid was a

mere tune-up at 16-1 price.

4STARSPECIAL: DENNISPORT: Has met some stiff competition, and should only move forward following narrowly beaten

third-place finish in return which should serve as confidence builder for absentee.

LONGSHOT: THE GREENE MAN: Has not had much racing luck of late (slow break, wide turn), but has shown improved early

speed; chance for breakout try at price.
