Normandy Invasion settled in at Palm Meadows

Hallandale Beach, FL (Sports Network) - Remsen Stakes runner-up Normandy Invasion is stabled at Palm Meadows Training Center in Florida ahead of a 2013 Triple Crown campaign.

Owned by Fox Hill Farm and trained by Chad Brown, the colt is jogging and walking, getting ready for his first start as a 3-year-old.

"He will begin easy gallops next week as we begin to get serious with his training to prepare him for his next race," owner Rick Porter noted on the farm's website. "Chad and I have not decided when or where that race will be at this point. We have a long range plan of running him in the Classics if all goes well. He has started to put on some needed weight and is acting like he feels terrific. He is bucking and playing. Chad knows he going to let him get a little more out of his training to keep him on the ground. Right now, Normandy Invasion is just where we want him."

Normandy Invasion, ridden by Jose Lezcano, lost by a nose to 3-2 favorite Overanalyze as the 7-2 third pick in the 10-horse Remsen. The colt came from well off the pace to collar Overanalyze down the stretch before losing by a head bob.

The colt finished fifth in his debut at Belmont Park and came back to win at Aqueduct on Nov. 2. In his three starts he has earned $92,240.
