HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

PHILADELPHIA (PARX RACING)

FREUD’S VALE: Shipped in off a maiden win up at Woodbine, tried starter allowance runners foes in his first try versus winners, stalked the leaders from fifth, made an outside move into the lane and got up to score by ¾’s of a length at 8-1; can continue win streak.

SUPER CAMI: Showed some speed and tired two back, faced off against NW2L $7.5k claimers last out, was outrun some early on before closing well in the lane to just miss the win by a neck at 29-1; is a good fit at this level and must be respected right back at a price.

PEACE CAT: Showed good early speed from the rail last out getting the half mile in 45:2, was still there into the lane but tired to finish fourth, has some backclass to call on and a better post will help.

DO IT WITH HONOR: Was claimed back in August at Monmouth, ran a poor race in her first try off the claim and was put away since September, returned most recently against $7.5k claimers last out, was outrun early on and finished up well for fourth at 11-1; should improve greatly off that race.

ZOSOGOOD: Seven year old gelding chased the pace from the outside post 10, chased the leaders to the top of the lane but couldn’t finish it off checking in fourth at 9-1; a better post can go a long way, tab.

BEST BET: LARRY OF LYNN: Four year old gelding is usually right there but doesn’t have the wins to show for it, beat NW2L two back, moved up to face off against NW3L $16k claimers, battled head to head early on through sharp splits, took over into the lane but had to settle for second late, wires them right back.

LONGSHOT: MARTINI: Well bred four year old filly took six starts to break her maiden and that came against $12.5k maiden claimers, tried starter allowance foes in her first try with winners and didn’t run badly chasing the sharp early pace throughout tiring late to finish third at 9-1; could be all set next out.

TURF PARADISE

POLEBOUND: Three year old filly was adding blinkers and trying the turf for the first time last out while coming off an August layoff, was carried out into the first turn, came very wide into the lane and checked in sixth at 30-1, a drop in class and a move back to the dirt could be in order.

NOBLE RULE: Showed some life three back when middle moving before checking in fifth, is now 1 for 45, was outrun when turning back into a sprint and finished well for third at 86-1 behind the two favorites, stay close at long odds.

DARING DARCO: Chased two back and held ok for third, was sent to the lead last out, set a solid, pressured pace into the lane but tired late to finish third at 19-1; can pop at a nice price right back.

JAZZ WONDER: Four year old gelding likes this track with all three of his wins coming over the main track at Turf Paradise, raced in midpack last out behind a decent pace and closed some ground in the lane to finish third at 12-1; give this one a look at a nice price right back.

SUNSHINE HIGH: Broke from the rail last out, saved ground early on racing in fifth, moved out on the turn, came with a five wide move to the lead, was still there in deep stretch but couldn’t finish it off tiring to finish third, ready for her win next out.

BEST BET: VICTORY WITH CLASS: Has a very nice record over the turf with two wins, a second and two third from five tries, got a nice trip last out racing in fifth but just couldn’t get to the loose on the lead frontrunner and had to settle for second, could be tough right back.

LONGSHOT: WHAT A SCORE: Four year old filly made her first start off the claim last out, came out running for the lead battling head to head through a half mile in 44:4, was still there into mid-stretch but tired some late to finish third at 13-1; can wire against similar.
