'All Others' and Verrazano top second Derby Future Wager

Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - The mutuel field and Verrazano finished as the two favorites at the conclusion of the second Kentucky Derby Future Wager of 2013.

The Future Wager consisted of 24 betting interests, including 23 individual 3- year-olds and the mutuel field of "All Others."

The Future Wager began Friday, March 1 at noon (ET) and concluded Sunday, March 3 at 6 p.m. (ET). The 139th Kentucky Derby will be run at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 4.

The "All Others" bet began and finished as the 3-1 favorite. The mutuel field closed the first Future Wager last month as the 8-5 top choice.

Verrazano, who will make his 2013 debut next Saturday in the Tampa Bay Derby, is the top rated individual horse at 9-1 after opening at 10-1.

Southwest Stakes winner Super Ninety Nine also opened at 10-1, but dropped to 17-1 when the betting closed.

The third and final pool will be held March 22-24.
