Normandy Invasion training for Jim Dandy Stakes

By: SPORTS NETWORK

Saratoga Springs NY (Sports Network) - Wood Memorial runner-up Normandy Invasion has been shipped to Saratoga by his owner Fox Hill Farm. Trained by Chad Brown, the 3-year-old colt is scheduled to compete in Saratoga's 3-year- old stakes.

"We moved Normandy Invasion up to Saratoga as planned and he is galloping over the Oklahoma Training Track beautifully," Fox Hill's Rick Porter posted on the farm's website. "All is well with him. He is eating well and has settled in well at Saratoga. We have his first work tentatively scheduled for June 16th in preparation for The Jim Dandy."

Normandy Invasion was fourth in the Kentucky Derby after leading the field at the top of the stretch. Earlier this year, the colt was fifth in the Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds before a hard charging second to Verrazano at Aqueduct in the Wood.

With just one win in six career starts, Normandy Invasion has earned $400,240.
