Gulfstream Park to again host Eclipse Awards

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Gulfstream Park will play host to the 43rd annual Eclipse Awards ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) announced Thursday afternoon.

It will be the second consecutive year the event will be held at Gulfstream Park's Sport of Kings Theatre.

"This year's expanded week of activities for the Eclipse Awards at Gulfstream Park was the most fan friendly program that we have ever produced," said Alex Waldrop, NTRA President and CEO. "We look forward to working with Gulfstream Park, Daily Racing Form, Breeders' Cup and The Stronach Group, to again deliver a week of special events supporting important causes culminating in an exceptional awards ceremony honoring excellence in Thoroughbred racing."

Voted on by the NTRA, National Turf Writers And Broadcasters and Daily Racing Form, the Eclipse Awards recognize achievements in thoroughbred racing from the preceding year.
