Game On Dude has next to last workout for Classic

Del Mar, CA (Sports Network) - Hollywood Gold Cup winner Game On Dude had another workout Tuesday morning at Del Mar for the track's upcoming featured race, the $1 million Pacific Classic on Sunday, Aug. 25.

Trained by Bob Baffert, the 6-year-old gelding worked five furlongs on Del Mar's synthetic main track in a time of 1:02 2/5. Baffert had Game On Dude galloping out seven furlongs in 1:28.

"Right on track for Pacific Classic. Couldn't be doing better," Baffert tweeted.

Game On Dude, to be ridden by Joel Rosario in the 1 1/4-mile Classic, is perfect in four starts this year. Along with his Gold Cup victory, he won the San Antonio Stakes, Santa Anita Handicap and Charles Town Classic.

Last year, the gelding was caught at the wire by Dullahan in the Pacific Classic.
