By: SPORTS NETWORK
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Following a relatively light week of stakes races, Game On Dude was able to increase his advantage over reigning Horse of the Year Wise Dan in the NTRA National Thoroughbred Poll. Game On Dude, trained by Bob Baffert, increased his lead from 16 to 26 points in the voting. The 6-year-old gelding, perfect this year in five starts, received 32 first-place votes and 453 points versus Wise Dan's 15 top votes and 427 points. Wise Dan, undefeated in four starts this year, is nominated to the Woodbine Mile on Sunday, Sept. 15. Baffert is undecided about Game On Dude's next start. Champion mare Royal Delta remains third with 328 points followed, as last week, by Cross Traffic (263), Point of Entry (200), Princess of Sylmar (194), Obviously (165) and Sahara Sky (99). Palace Malice remained in 10th with 61 points while 7-year-old Flat Out moved into ninth-place with 62 points after finishing second to Alpha in the Woodward at Saratoga Race Course.
