Breeders' Cup workout for Game On Dude

By: SPORTS NETWORK

Arcadia, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Just over two weeks until the Breeders' Cup Classic and probable favorite Game On Dude continues to prepare for the event. Tuesday morning at Santa Anita, trainer Bob Baffert had the 6-year-old gelding work six-furlongs on the main track.

Game On Dude covered the six furlongs on a fast track in 1:12 1/5, the fastest of four working the distance.

This will be Game On Dude's third start in the $5 million, 1 1/4-mile Classic. Two years ago he was second to longshot Drosselmeyer and last year finished seventh as the 13-10 favorite behind Fort Larned.

Game On Dude, co-owned by Joe Torre, is undefeated in five starts this year. The gelding has posted wins in the San Antonio Stakes, Santa Anita Handicap, Charles Town Classic, Hollywood Gold Cup and Pacific Classic. His current six- race win streak goes back to last December's Native Diver Stakes.

This year, he has earned $2.47 million and overall has banked more than $5.6 million with 15 wins in 27 starts.
