By: SPORTS NETWORK

Paris, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Point of Entry, fourth in last week's Breeders' Cup Turf, has been retired and will stand at stud at Adena Springs in Kentucky. It was announced in January that the horse would eventually retire to Adena Springs.

The 5-year-old old was trained by Shug McGaughey and is owned by Phipps Stable and Stronach Stables.

Point of Entry finished his career with nine wins in 18 starts and $2,494,490. He posted wins last year in the Elkhorn, Man o'War, Sword Dancer and Turf Classic before finishing second as the 2-1 favorite to Little Mike in the Turf.

This year, the 5-year-old won the Gulfstream Park Turf and Manhattan Handicaps before the Breeders' Cup where he was the 7-2 second pick.
