Adams promoted to president of Calder

Miami Gardens, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Maureen Adams has been promoted to the positions of president and general manager of Calder Casino & Race Course, replacing Austin Miller. Miller was promoted to Churchill Downs Inc.'s senior vice president of gaming operations and Adams will report directly to Miller.

"We are very pleased Maureen has accepted our offer. Maureen will do a wonderful job continuing the success of our slot, poker, and racing operations," Miller said. "Her extensive experience in the gaming industry where she has held several leadership roles, as well as her knowledge of the South Florida gaming market, makes her the ideal candidate for the position."

Adams had been serving as Calder's senior director of finance and assumes her new duties on Monday.
