HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

PHILADELPHIA (PARX RACING)

COLORFUL IMAGE: Was away slowly last out racing in fifth early on, started to move up on the turn and closed well to finish second at 7-1; this four year old filly is usually quick early on and may have found a new tactic, tab.

AIRDROP: Scored from well back two races ago on November 4th, saved ground early on while racing in 7th, made a big move to get into third at the top of the lane but had to settle for a solid second late at 38-1.

ARTFUL PERSUASION: Showed improved speed two back before stopping badly and checking in 11th, showed good speed again last out while battling on the lead but hung in well for third behind the 4-5 shot at 36-1; fits nicely with NW2L $7.5k claimers.

SHES TUFF AS NAILS: Five year old mare has been in good form over the last few months, broke running from the rail last out, battled head to head for the lead and stayed on well for a close-up third, solid.

MEDALLEZZA: Took good money for her debut going off at 3-1; ducked in after the start when breaking from post 1 and was just evenly thereafter checking in sixth, give this filly a shot right back for sharp barn.

BEST BET: WAR WON: This five year gelded Pennsylvania bred has shown some flashes of talent in his short career, returned from a June layoff last out, battled head to head for the lead through the first half mile but tired to finish sixth at 7-1; must respect next out.

LONGSHOT: TERRI’S PASS: Was making just her second start since August, chased a sharp pace while racing four wide before tiring in the lane to finish fifth at 47-1; could offer some value right back, tab.

TURF PARADISE

CINNAMON MOCHA: Four year old filly moved back to the turf last out, raced in ninth and last until the top of the stretch and closed some ground to finish a close-up fifth at 17-1; a drop back into a claimer gets the job done, follow.

IS THIS A SECRET: Five year old mare came out of the gate running last out for sharp barn, held that lead into the lane but tired late to finish fourth, slight turnback suits.

RED CHARGER: Was stretched out into a two turn race last out but raced so far back early on he really had no shot, moved up on the far turn to get into fifth but couldn’t get to the leaders, give him another try at that distance.

TALK THE WALK: Scored wire to wire two back versus NW3L $3.5k claimers, moved up to face off against open $6.25k claimers, chased the early leaders through sharp splits but came up a neck short to the odds-on choice, very sharp now.

WARREN’S BLVD.: Nine year old gelding was away in fifth, made a move to take over that lead into the lane but couldn’t finish it off checking in a close-up third behind the favorite, fits right back with conditioned $3k claimers.

BEST BET: SUNDAY EVE: Moved to the turf for the first time last out, came out running for the lead, battled head to head to the top of the lane but tired some late to finish fourth at 18-1; should improve off that effort and the price will be right.

LONGSHOT: SURFLINER: Was sent off at a ridiculously high odds of 54-1 last out, pressed the leaders from the start to the top of the lane but tired to finish fifth; handles the dirt as well, stay close at a price.
