TURF PARADISE

A POLITICAL TIME: Five year old gelding was sent off as the longest shot in the race last out at 22-1, saved ground early on while racing in fifth, started to move into the lane and finished well for second, stay close.

GRAY ELIXIR: Was sent off at 12-1 in his debut, got away slowly from the inside, moved up to get into fifth but just raced evenly thereafter and checked in fifth, should improve that race and is one to watch.

LA SWIFT: Moved into a new barn last out and was coming off an April layoff, got away in fourth early on when sent off at 38-1, was still in fourth into the lane closed some ground late to finish third while easily clear of the fourth place finisher.

SALEEN: Four year old gelding ran well for second two back against $5k maiden claimers, followed that race with a win at the same level, faced off against winners last out at the $3.5k NW2L level, battled for the lead early on, took over that lead into the lane but tired to finish third, sharp now.

STEP ASIDE CLYDE: Six year old gelding was coming off an October layoff, got away at the back of the pack while racing over the turf last out, came very wide into the lane and finished well for third at 6-1; needed that race and should be all set now.

BEST BET: LAST GREETINGS: Was rank early on racing in seventh and last behind some very slow fractions over the turf, made a big middle move to get into second but just couldn’t finish it off tiring late to finish fourth, needs a race with more pace up front.

LONGSHOT: PRAIRIE VISION: Had been off since August heading into her last race, made her first start over this course and ran on well for third at 17-1 behind the two favorites after chasing the early pace, tab.

 

 

OAKLAWN

BE MY HONEYCOMB: Three year old filly made her debut last out and was sent off at 14-1, got away in last, trailed the field early on, continued to race well back into the lane and finished well late for fifth behind the favorite, should improve off that effort.

LIFE AT MIDNIGHT: $100k two year old purchase back in May 2013 made his debut against $30k maiden claimers, got off slowly over a sloppy/sealed track, raced in 8^th early on but did close well to finish third at 23-1; could be all set next out.

LILLYS CUE: Four year old filly was coming off a July layoff last out, chased the pace from third, moved into second coming into the lane but just couldn’t go with the leaders checking in third late, stay close.

ME ‘N AMANDA: Broke her maiden two back against statebred $16k maiden claimers, faced off against NW2L $7.5k statebred claimers, got away in fourth, came wide into the lane and ran on for a clear third behind the favorite, tab with similar.

PERPLEXITY: Three year old filly made her debut back in October at Woodbine and checked in even seventh against maiden special weight company, shipped in her for her last start, dropping in against $50k maiden claimers, should be set now to stretchout in distance.

BEST BET: ROAD TO SALEETA: Was a big winner two back against statebred $16k maiden claimers, moved up to face winners in the Nodouble Breeders’ race, a race worth $75k, chased the sharp pace, took over into the lane and only got tired late to finish fourth at 36-1; sharp now.

LONGSHOT: STEREO IN MOTION: Was off since June coming into his last race, got away in 10^th not showing any early speed, started to move up on the inside, came very wide into the lane and closed some ground to finish fourth at 11-1, should be set right back.
