HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

LAUREL PARK

STORMIN MARGARET: Rallied inside to reach contention and then flattened a bit late to finish second (to $2.20 winner) in her latest; solid filly typically brings back a share, so be sure to include.

COOKING UP A STORM: Remains a maiden following 11 career starts, but has put in a pair of good second-place finishes since back from July-layoff and moved to trainer Donnovan Haughton; next time.

KENNESAW MOUNTAIN: Made it two straight wins with a neck score when in with winners for the first time in his latest; hat trick in sight for son of Forestry.

HEART OF ROME: Gamely gained second in her latest, and current form seems improved; must use for trainer M. McMullen.

SORTANO: Raced inside and turned in a fairly even effort for third in his latest; recent form suggests his best races have come when able to rally outside.

LIFTED: Passed tired rivals and picked up third behind blowout winner in his racing debut; factor with similar given expected improvement for winning D. Kobiskie (21% wins last year) barn.

4*SPECIAL: BANJAMMER: Stalked the pace, took over, and held a 1 ½-length stretch lead in his latest, only to tire and settle for third; atones for favored loss in upcoming third start of current form cycle.

LONGSHOT: LIGHT CAT: Dueled and weakened to fourth with blinkers added when a new face in town for her first start since mid-January; worth another shot.

TURFWAY PARK

WILLOW HILLS: Overcame a slow break to prove best by a half-length in winning racing debut; daughter of Distorted Humor has pedigree to show more at added distances and with experience, so stay on board.

OLYMPIC DANZ (BRZ): Chased and weakened to fourth when beaten as the favorite in his latest; proven veteran has finished on the board in 20 of 38 lifetime starts, so you can’t leave him out.

CASEYS CACTUS: Showed some needed and overdue life when third at long odds in her latest; now has three races in her since back from September-layoff, and can continue to move forward.

ROCKY BEAR: Put in a wide move on turn and continued evenly through the lane for third when able to outrun his 17.40-1 tote price in latest; consider in gimmicks at value.

JUDSONSPRETTYGIRL: Gained second in an improved try when making her second start with winners most recently; something to build on for 3YO filly.

GHOST TIME: Set the pace and weakened in the lane when fourth under the wire (third via DQ of rival after racing in tight late) in his latest; rounding to better form.

CITI POINT: Rallied for second off soft pace behind easy winner when making her first start since claimed by trainer D. Atkins; gave nice effort on class rise, so stay tuned.

PAN DULCE: Rated, rallied to stretch lead, and held second in game effort when in search of repeat most recently; daughter of Candy Ride has come to run in two starts since back from two-month break.

CODY LAW: Scored as a fresh face in his latest here on Feb. 28, and March 11 breeze back shows he retains edge; right back.

4*SPECIAL: MAKE A TOAST: Turned in nice effort for second off a wide bid when back from a November-break most recently; keeps solid recent form.

LONGSHOT: AFTERLIFE: Showed much improved early interest when with the pace and then tired to finish fourth in her first start since Jan. 4 most recently; next time for maiden score.
