Honor Code out with leg injury
By: SPORTS NETWORK
Hallandale Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Honor Code, second in his season debut earlier this month, will be unable to run in the Wood Memorial on April 5 due to a leg injury. Trainer Shug McGaughey announced Sunday that the 3-year-old colt has a slight tear of his right hind upper suspensory. It was discovered Sunday morning. "It will heal. We discovered it this morning. We'll give it 60 days and then re-evaluate it," McGaughey said. Honor Code finished second in an allowance race at Gulfstream Park on March 12, finishing 10-lengths behind Social Inclusion as the 1-2 favorite. The colt won last year's Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct after finishing second to Havana in the Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park.
