HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

MONMOUTH PARK

CROWN POINT SUMMER: Led through some swift fractions last out but could not hold on late to finish second at

51-1. The value is there with $5k claimers.

DARK PLUME: Made up some ground in the lane to outrun his 48-1 odds last out and should be followed with maidens.

EXPLOSIVE REVIVAL: Could not clear off to the lead last out battling head to head through a half in 45:3 before

tiring in the lane to finish fifth. Gets there with $7.5k claimers with a better pace scenario.

HARRY N’ ZEKE: Made the lead from the three path and stayed on well to the wire to finish fourth. Can lead gate

to wire next out.

I’VE GOT TO WIN: Battled on the lead the whole way and was able to game out the victory scoring by a half length.

Likes to win.

IS THAT YOU: Has some backclass last out and closed well to finish third just missing by about a half length. Fits

nicely with $45k claimers.

MOON FEATHER: Was an even fourth last out missing by just over a length; should be given another shot with

$25k claiming three year olds.

OBLIGATION NORTH: Stumbled at the start last out, trailing the field past the half before closing strongly to just miss

by a nose. Was claimed from that race and should fit with $5k claimers.

PUEBLO DE SPAIN: Was not disgraced in his turf debut when finishing fifth at 20-1. Should improve with that race

over the turf, follow.

4STARSPECIAL: SALTA SAPO: Took a lot of money for career debut off a weak workout line. Showed good

speed that day, battling for the lead, getting away in the stretch only to get nailed late. Should graduate with Jersey bred maidens next out.

LONGSHOT: MARKED BILLS: Showed good speed again on the turf and lasted until the stretch at 50-1 before tiring

to finish seventh. The price will be right next out on the turf.

PIMLICO

ASPEN MOON: Rallied wide for third in latest race dominated by clear-cut winner; overdue for something more than

minor prize versus NW2L types.

D P DANCER: Rallied from well back to edge rival for second in latest; colt figures primed for best in next start making

third try of current form cycle.

DELIVER THE ROSES: Blasted clear on the early pace in latest and held on for win when it counted; perfect candidate

for repeat performance.

FOOTLIGHTS: Returned to the flat for latest following a majority of steeplechase races, and did so with a fair fourth; can

surprise on turf if kept on this scene.

JERSEY BOY: Has been in the mix in a pair of turf sprints to date; extremely well-bred colt is a lightly raced 4YO and

likely to improve in a hurry now.

KITE: Has now finished second behind clear winners in each of his last two attempts; could be distance stretch-out

candidate for third start of form cycle.

LOVE SAM: Raced wide and between foes when a better-than-it-looks fifth in latest; claimed by trainer Leatherbury, he is

likely to improve going forward.

MIDWATCH: Never factored while racing wide in hot turf dash most recently; gelding is better than effort suggests and

can also handle route distances.

MY TERMS: Pressed the pace between rivals and faded from contention in latest; given pedigree, would like to see if filly

can stretch her speed two turns.

SUN APPEAL: Battled on pace following rocky start in career debut, and ultimately held well to stay on for third; filly is

bred for speed and likely to improve.

4STARSPECIAL: MISWES: Raced wide and gave way following a middle-move to contention in her latest; filly can

only benefit from turf route return in first try since July.

LONGSHOT: SLOW AND STEADY: Battled between foes, dropped back somewhat, then came again for third in race

featuring clear winner; next time.
