General a Rod has final workout for 140th Kentucky Derby

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - General a Rod, third in the Florida Derby, had his last workout for Saturday's 140th Run for the Roses on Tuesday at Churchill Downs.

Trained by Mike Maker, General a Rod worked four furlongs in 49 2/5 seconds on a track listed as fast. The colt was sold Monday to Starlight Racing and Skychai Racing by J. Armando Rodriguez. He will continue to be trained by Maker.
