Rosie Napravnik sidelined with injured shoulder

By: SPORTS NETWORK

Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - Leading female jockey Rosie Napravnik suffered an injury to her left shoulder and will be away from racing for up to two months.

According to Napravnik's husband, trainer Joe Sharp, she suffered a "mild separation" of the clavicle at the joint in her left shoulder. The injury happened Sunday morning at Churchill Downs when Napravnik was working out a Bob Baffert horse who suffered a fatal injury and the jockey fell to the track.

Napravnik was treated at University of Louisville Hospital.

Napravnik is the rider of 3-year-old filly Untapable, winner of this year's Kentucky Oaks. Untapable is expected to start next in the Mother Goose Stakes at Belmont Park on June 28.
