PA Derby likely for California Chrome return

(SportsNetwork.com) - According to his Facebook page, Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner California Chrome is possible to make his return to the races in the $1 million Pennsylvania Derby on Saturday, Sept. 20. California Chrome, owned by Steve Coburn and Perry Martin, would become the first Kentucky Derby champ to start the 1 1/8-mile PA Derby. Trained by Art Sherman, the 3-year-old colt is also possible for Santa Anita's Awesome Again Stakes versus older horses on Saturday, Sept. 27. California Chrome has been training at Los Alamitos with workouts coming on Fridays.
