HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

HOLLYWOOD PARK

ALWAYSWANTMORE: Set a pressured pace and nearly held on at 25-1 when fourth beaten a

half-length on 10/31. Threat to graduate on grass.

BEAUTIFULBUTBORED: Needed a race off a six-month layoff on 10/27. Too early to give up on her.

FREETOUCH: Didn’t get off to a great start and then got bumped several times on the turn when fifth

on 10/27. Try again.

JUNGLE PRINCE: Checked in traffic when boxed in and finished a hard-luck seventh as a result on

10/29. Still lost the race by only two lengths and will be dangerous with a clean trip.

MOTIVO: Rushed up inside but got hooked and cooked in a speed duel on 10/29. Still looms a threat

 to shake loose up front.

PIN JIG: Broke slowly from the rail in return from a 10-month layoff, then had more traffic troubles

going into and out of the turn. Looms a threat to graduate at a price.

RIGHT DIRECTION: Finished third off a two-month layoff, but should improve next time off the claim by

 Mullins:

ROI CHARMANT: Finished a close third in return from a nine-month layoff on 10/29. Prepped and

ready now.

SILVER PAST: Blew the break and lost his best chance at the start in a slow paced race off a two-month

layoff on 10/29. Can win with an alert break.

SMOKEGETENYOUREYES: Broke slowly and then rushed up toward the pace and still outran 10-1

odds for a close third behind two favorites. In good form at present.

VIENNA CIRCLE: Showed good interest both early and late but had trouble in traffic leaving the turn

which cost him any better than a third-place finish. Lost the race by only a half-length.

WALTER RINGER: Outran 24-1 odds for fourth in return from a seven-month layoff when beaten just

a nose and a head for second behind a runaway winning 6-5 favorite. Can win second off the layoff.

WE ALL LOVE ALEYNA: Made a premature middle move and had the saddle slip during the running of

the race on 10/27. Worth another shot.

4STARSPECIAL: RHINO CHASER: Got caught in a 2 1/2-length-gap duel for the lead and held on nicely for

third while ahead of his early pace challenger. Must respect.

LONGSHOT: POINTE BIRDS: Got squeezed at the start and then rushed up to duel with a wire-to-wire

winning odds-on favorite. Still held on for fourth at 33-1 odds.

PHILADELPHIA

BENNINGTON: Broke slowly from the rail post and then hustled up into contention and still outran

21-1 odds for third. Don’t overlook.

CHERRY ON TOP: Got caught in traffic in the stretch and gained too late in the stretch when clear

last time out. Can improve back vs. cheapies.

FAIRWAY MISS: Had to steady to avoid a fallen rival and could do no better than fourth as a result.

Can make amends in first start off claim.

GARRET: Lost his best chance at the start when he broke poorly at the back of a seven-horse field in

 a 5 1/2-furlong race. Worth another shot.

GLOBAL TOUR: Set and fast and pressured pace in a three-way, four-length-gap duel for the lead

and tired to last. Can rebound in next.

IN EVERY PORT: Broke slowly and later steadied in traffic on the backstretch en route to a mid-pack

 finish. Live overlay.

JEWEL’S DREAM: Got bumped around on the first turn while hooked in a four-length-gap speed duel

in a race where the pace collapsed. Try again.

KING MATTHEW: Broke slowly and settled for second in a short sprint. Can get all the marbles with a

 better start.

LAURA’S PROSPECT: Dueled for the lead and finished ahead of her early challengers in a race

that set up for all the closers. Can win in second race off the two-month layoff.

WILDSTELLA: Belmont invader needed a race off a four-month layoff. Should graduate vs. the local

 competition.

WUNNERNAUS: Rushed up toward the pace after getting bumped and steadied to the back of the pack

at the start on 10/26. Just needs a clean break.

4STARSPECIAL: SUNSHINE NATALIE: Ran well for third (placed 2nd via DQ) in career debut despite

being sent off at 29-1 odds. Must respect.

LONGSHOT: TURQUOISE BEAD: Got hooked and cooked in a four-length-gap speed duel on a :22.2

two-turn pace. Finished seven lengths clear of her early challenger.
