Ahh Chocolate looking sweet after Black-Eyed Susan

By: SPORTS NETWORK

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Ahh Chocolate is back at Churchill Downs Saturday one day after finishing third behind Keen Pauline in Pimlico's Black-Eyed Susan Stakes on Friday.

Trained by Neil Howard for Stoneway Farm, Ahh Chocolate suffered her first defeat in the companion race to Saturday's Preakness. It was just the 3-year- old filly's third career start and first in a stakes.

"She came out of the race real good," Howard said. "That (slow pace) didn't help her but we were more than pleased. With that kind of a race with such a lightly raced filly, we were more than pleased."

Ahh Chocolate will now be pointed toward a summer schedule.

"We haven't stamped anything yet, but we're thinking about all of the appropriate 3-year-old filly races," Howard said. "I've got to talk to Mr. (Jim) Stone and Terri (Burch). I think the Mother Goose (at Belmont Park on June 27) is on our radar with as good as she ran yesterday. But it's definitely a step forward yesterday."
