HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

WOODBINE

BOUNCE FOREVER: Chased and faded from contention in latest, but looms very

interesting claim for $40K by trainer Baker as a lightly raced juvenile.

CELCIUS SLEW: Has learned rating lessons well, and used them successfully to score wins

in each of his last two starts; lightly raced 4YO with plenty of upside.

DONERAILE GAL: Chased and faded in latest, but when making a typically difficult first

attempt versus winners; moves forward in a hurry.

GALAXY: Stepped up to restricted stakes company for latest following maiden win in prior

start, and went in fair order for fifth over wet ground; improving sort.

HOLY SPARK: Raced in even order in latest, but has shown in the past she packs a better

punch; can be more consistent, but is with right barn to fix that.

MARIMA: Stretched out successfully to a route of ground and captured an allowance race

when along late; right back.

ROCKET GIRL: Set a pressured pace and stayed on for a close fourth in second career

start; primed for breakout making third career start.

SOLIHULL: Showed improved early speed in latest, but settled for second when it counted;

much better form since return from break is encouraging.

TWISTED WIT: Brings plenty of big figures to the party – always a plus – and has held

form in fine fashion while racing in tough spots of late; stay close.

WEST END LADY: Rated from wide perch, moved aggressively to command, and faded a

bit when it counted in lane; very sharp now, and also likely to offer value.

4STARSPECIAL: SLAPSHOT DOM: Rated, bid wide, reached contention, and faded a bit in

the stretch when burdened by wide perch in route; next time.

LONGSHOT: RUDE BEHAVIOR: Chased and gave way in latest, but when turned back

to sprint following series of route tries; sharper going forward.

FAIR GROUNDS

AGREE TO DISAGREE: Settled for fourth in latest, when unable to make late impact over

muddy ground; on board in 12 of 16 starts, so keep him on your tickets.

BIG GUN: Rated, moved to lead, and held second behind clear winner in his latest; lightly raced

4YO continues improvement in third start of current form cycle.

BOSTON FLYER: Chased in ever order until the stretch run of her latest and tired when

it counted; from winning Asmussen barn and eligible to improve.

CRAB CREEK: Set pace and tired in what should prove a needed effort when making his

first start since September-layoff; dangerous in lower-end claiming ranks.

CRY OF THE WILD: Has not had the best of racing luck of late, but while competing in

crowded MSW turf races; well-bred filly puts it together before long.

DYNA DEL: Never offered anything in latest, but in a tough off-the-turf spot over muddy

ground; quality filly rebounds in a hurry.

PRINCE T.: Rated, awaited room, and rallied for third in crowded 12-horse group; effort

should prove a more than useful introduction to racing for 2YO.

RAHY’S SONG: Raced up close early, dropped back, and came on again in latest; more

noteworthy, she was claimed by trainer Asmussen for a worthwhile $10K.

SKYMASTER: Rallied strongly again in his latest, making two straight victories; claimed

by trainer Petalino, gelding keeps on rolling.

TACONIC: Made it two straight wins with determined rally in latest; staying on board,

even if tote price understandably shrinks.

4STARSPECIAL: SIDEBUSTER B: Has now finished second in both career starts (note, he

was placed first via DQ in debut), and show of more early interest was very encouraging

 in last; prospect.

LONGSHOT: GRANNY’S PRIDE: Sped clear on pace in latest and held gamely to second

behind a clear-cut winner; turf and dirt offer viable options going forward.
