Stakes races rescheduled at Santa Anita

By: SPORTS NETWORK

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The two stakes races that were

washed out at Santa Anita Park last Sunday have been rescheduled.

Sunday's program was cancelled after the first race because of

 unsafe riding conditions.

The $100,000 Santa Ysabel Stakes for three-year-old fillies will be

conducted on Sunday, January 16. Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies

winner Sweet Catomine was set to make her 2005 debut last week.

Sweet Catomine is expected to be named champion two-year-old

filly for 2004 later this month. The Santa Ysabel Stakes will run at 1 1/16 miles.

The $100,000 San Miguel Stakes for three-year-old colts and

geldings will be run on Monday, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Five

horses were originally entered last week with Bushwacker the

6-5 favorite. The San Miguel Stakes is ran at six-furlongs.
