Lundy's Liability grabs stakes at Santa Anita

Arcadia, CA (Sports Network) - Lundy's Liability, making his first start

of the year, captured the $250,000 San Antonio Handicap at Santa Anita

Park on Sunday. The San Antonio is a major prep race for the Santa Anita

 Handicap on March 5.

Ridden by David Flores, Lundy's Liability recorded his second win at

Santa Anita. The five-year-old won the Goodwood Breeders' Cup Handicap

 last October. Overall, Lundy's Liability has now won five of eight lifetime

starts and has earned more than $1.7 million.

Lundy's Liability is owned by Mrs. M. Slack and Stud TNT. Bobby Frankel

 trained the horse to a 1 1/2 length victory in the 1 1/8 mile race. The time

 for the San Antonio was 1:49.05.

Finishing second was Truly a Judge followed by Congrats, Skukuza,

Total Impact, Asong for Billy, Star Cross, Epicentre and Go Bob. Last year

 Star Cross finished second to Pleasantly Perfect in this event.

Lundy's Liability was sent off as a lukewarm 3-1 favorite and returned $8.20,

 $4.60 and $3.40. Truly a Jude paid $4.20 and $3.00, and Congrats paid

$3.40 for show.
