HORSES TO WATCH

By: AMERICAN TURF CLUB

ARLINGTON

ANGELA’S PRIDE: Tracked the leaders from fifth behind a solid pace but did

put in a steady run to finish third just a head out of the place spot; is a must use

 in all exotics.

DON MANUEL: Broke running from the inside post last out, showed solid

splits, took on challengers and only tired very late to just miss by a head and a

nose; can lead gate to wire with $5k claimers.

FRED OF GOLD: Closed from dead last to finish third at 41-1 with $4k claimers

and will be tough at a price with more pace up front.

GRANDELENA: Two year old raced middle of the pack early on, made a strong

move to take over the lead through a quick half in 45:4 but tired late to finish

third. Improving youngster is ready to graduate.

PASS THE PEPPER: Blasted clear to the lead last out and set some very quick

fractions in 22, 44:4 but didn’t have enough left and tired to finish third. Can bottom

them out next when sprinting on the turf.

SUPERSTONE: Stalked the leaders through solid early fractions and made a steady

move to take the lead when it counted; two year old colt is well bred and can

only get better the further they go.

4STARSPECIAL: PARIS ADVENTURE: Ran on very well to finish second last

out behind the favorite after dueling for the lead early on, calls on the backclass to

score with better off the Reavis claim.

LONGSHOT: MAJESTIC ZEAL: Broke from the far outside post last out, raced in

the middle of the pack before coming with a solid four wide move to just miss by a

neck; gets there next out with statebreds on the turf.

TURFWAY

BRIAR MAN: Just missed to the favorite last out by a nose and was easily clear of

the third place finisher by more than seven lengths; should graduate with maiden

 claimers right back.

FLY’N CODY: Chased the leader/winner/odds-on choice last out and was still there

at the top of the stretch before tiring a bit to finish third at 42-1; follow right

 back with NW3L claimers.

MANO A MANO: Forced the pace while racing three wide and was second heading

into the stretch but tired to finish fourth. Will be tough if he can clear off next out.

MISS SANDY: Was unhurried early on before making a strong five wide move to

get to the lead but was run down late by the odds-on choice. Fits with $4k claimers.

ORO BRAVO: Closed some ground late to just miss the place spot by a neck while

more than 12 lengths clear of the fourth place finisher and should be followed at a

price with NW2L claimers.

OUT AFTER DARK: Couldn’t make up any ground over a speed favoring track last

out and it was only a five furlong race but this two year old filly did finish an even

fifth at 81-1, the value is there.

THUNDAH: Chased the leader from the inside post position last out, put away

those challengers and stayed on well for third behind the two deep closers. Follow

with NW2L claimers at a price.

TREMPOLINO TRICK: Forced the pace while racing three wide but could not get to

the leaders who went 1-2 around the racetrack; follow with $4k claimers.

VICE ORR VERSA: Was outrun for three quarters of a mile while trailing the field but

did put in a decent run to finish third at 23-1. Must follow this one right back with

NW3L claimers.

4STARSPECIAL: YOUCAN’TBLUFF: Broke from the rail last out but was rushed up

to the lead last out before getting overtaken in the drive to finish a close-up third.

 Solid with maidens right back.

LONGSHOT: SO WELCOME: Was up close to the pace while racing 4-5 wide and tired

because of it in the stretch to finish fifth; price play with NW3X allowance foes.
