Horses to Watch

SARATOGA

BLACK MARKET: Was up close, dropped back and then came again for third. Try against

NW1X New York breds.

BLOND DANCER: Is in solid form right now and the price should be right, tab.

BOB DAVENPORT: Was impressive in his first turf try chasing the pace while wide, taking over and

then having enough left to hold off the closers, tab.

CASTLE COMER: Has run well at the spa and was in need of his last race, follow.

CRIPPLE CREEK: Ran well chasing a swift pace and hung in there for fourth. This often absent

colt is one to watch if he comes back quickly.

DISTINCTIVE KITTEN: Was easiest kind of winner last out versus New York breds and may finally

live up to her potential.

FIRST YOU DREAM: Was sent off as the even money favorite last out and was hung wide from the

12 post. His fifth place finish can help out in the odds category next out, follow.

HAGGS CASTLE: New York bred has a ton of ability on the turf and needs a slightly faster pace

then he got last out.

MICMACEUSE: Took a needed drop in class last out and dominated a field of $18k claimers. Try this

one right back on any surface.

MORNING WATCH: Ran last out as a maiden versus winners and came out of the race as a winner. This

Allen Jerkens trainee can score again at a decent price.

MOUNTAIN FOX: New gelding showed much improvement last out closing to finish second after having

a horrible start. Look for a bump back into maiden special weights and a bigger price.

MR. WHITESTONE: Faced elders last out and ran very well to finish second. Must be followed right back

at a big price.

NOLIMOSFORYOU: Always puts in an honest effort on the turf and fits nicely with straight three

year old claimers.

RUSSIAN SWEETIEPIE: Closed well to finish third behind a solid field $50k claimers on the turf and

should love it up at the spa.

SEATTLE WILLY: Hails from a low profile barn and ran well to finish second last out at 69-1. Should be

tough to down next out versus similar and will still be overlooked.

SHE AIN’T NO SAINT: Was sent off as the 3-5 favorite and ran well in spots but finished disappointing

seventh. This 2YO filly has ability and should improve second time out.

SIESMIC SENSATION: Battled hard through the first five furlongs last out and tired late in the drive to

finish fourth. Better rating and some more distance may be the answer.

THEN SHE LAUGHS: Blasted out to the lead through some swift fractions and was holding well in the

drive; tab this New York bred.

4PSPECIAL: RETROACTIVE: Slipped through on the rail last out and went on to an

authoritative win. This well bred filly can only get better and two turns is on the horizon at the Spa.

LONGSHOT: BEYOND CHANCE: Made a trainer change for his last start and scored an easy victory

over New York breds. Is out of conditions but must be respected versus open company especially at a price.

MONMOUTH

CAHILL KID: Was an easy wire to wire winner as the 6-5 favorite and should repeat

with better next out.

CONSORT MUSIC: Was a decent third behind an optional claiming field and will appreciate

a switch back to the turf.

CRITICAL BULL: Closed from well back to get the job done as the favorite over $25k claimers.

Was claimed from that race and has the ability to beat better.

EYE DAZZLER: Was just that breaking her maiden by more than five lengths at 20-1 odds. Can

repeat against allowance or even stakes foes, tab.

JACK N GIN: Was over his head last out versus a tough optional claiming field and a drop in

class can key a large mutuel.

JACK THE JACKAL: Opened a huge lead last out before stopping badly in the drive. Should boss

maiden claimers next out with that kind of speed.

MAJOR FORBES: Was used up chasing a half in 44:2 and tired in the drive. Very dangerous with

a better pace scenario.

NEVER LEFT: Prompted the pace after a slow start but could not finish with the top two through

some swift fractions. A slight drop into maiden claimers keys the score.

PERSONAL TOUCH: Never got a breather throughout the one mile turf event and tired

because of it. One to watch on a clear lead.

PORTOBELLO BELLE: Scored from a tough outside post going one mile and can repeat

with similar.

PRIVATE PUNCH: Lacked punch when needed but his speed should carry him gate to wire over

a statebred field very soon.

SPICED TEA: Was used up chasing the pace throughout and tired in the drive to finish seventh.

Take a shot right back with this Jersey bred.

TEN TIMES NOBILITY: Veteran still has a little life left and can surprise on the turf at a big price.

WACKY FOR LOVE: Showed ability last year versus some solid fields; moves way up in the mud.

4PSPECIAL: LIGHTNING STRIPES: Was in over his head in New York but may have found

a home here. Can defeat better next out at a longer price.

LONGSHOT: FASHION IDOL: Broke a step slow from the rail and then was forced to rush to the lead

in quick half mile. A better break versus similar can help her take it all the way.
