#4 Open Bar fell much too far back early, and much further back than his usual running style last time out, and did rally, but too late, in a race at 6F. Finished third twice in a row, including in a key race two outings ago behind a pair of next out winners. Remains in good form and now gets a beneficial stretch out to 7F and should be in his customary position closer to the pace and well within striking distance today.

Play in exacta box w/#6 Lightning Buzz, who rises in class against winners for the first time after graduating last time out, but nevertheless fits well at this level and against this field. Speed figures are solid and set to improve today in what will be this horse’s second start in return from a 6-month layoff.

Race 3

#2 Discreet Senorita

Invades from Parx coming off of a stakes win in her last race with a speed figure that stamps her as the horse to beat in the race. Loves to win throughout her career with 8 victories in 14 lifetime races, and shows up for solid NY connections at 7F, where her record is already 2-for-2. Catches a heavy morning-line favorite in this race who looks extremely vulnerable coming back off a long layoff and prepping at a distance too short for her.
