#2 Beyond the Green

Plus play an exacta box w/#3 Deuces High

#2 Beyond the Green ran a very solid race for second last time in return from a seven-month layoff, and has lots of room for improvement today in the second race off the layoff at value morning-line odds of 12-1. Has plenty of back races that indicate he can, and will, run a lot faster, and Jose Ortiz keeping the mount today is a positive sign.

Play in exacta box w/#3 Deuces High, who has to overcome a layoff, but goes out for good first-off-the-layoff trainer Rick Violette and adds Irad Ortiz for the mount in a strong showing of trainer intent. Owns a win over this track, and earned a big Beyer speed figure two races ago in his most recent victory.

Race 8

#3 Wicked Macho

Tired in stretchout attempt last time, but cuts back in distance to a sprint today and that is what the doctor ordered. Won career debut two races ago in a Churchill sprint race with a good speed figure in an effort that looks even better now that the second-place finisher from that race has already returned to win his maiden in his next race.
