#2 Mo Promise

Plus play an exacta box w/#5 Victoria’s Fire

#2 Mo Promise is a live longshot that would be a major mistake to overlook at 20-1 odds on the morning line. Needed a race two starts back off a long layoff, and then last time cut back in distance but landed in a very tough allowance spot and was off the board. Now drops into a much easier spot, and is a sneaky top contender based on the turf sprint ability she showed last year right here at Saratoga.

Play in exacta box w/#5 Victoria’s Fire, who is a wild card because she if trying turf for the first time in her career today, but there is no question about her abilities relative to this field. She is a real sprinter who loves to win with 9 career victories including two in a row coming into this race. Handled an artificial track most recently, and based on that should handle this surface switch and be tough today.

Race 8

#8 Diamond Oops

Invades from Florida and may be overlooked based on that, but looks like an extremely precocious and dangerous 2-year-old with a 2-for-2 record so far with both wins coming rating off the pace, which is rare to see at this point in the season. Speed figures stack up well, Saez, who rode before, is back for the mount, and the second-place horse they beat last time out has already flattered this horse by coming back to win his next start.
