Returns from the mile and a half Belmont Stakes fiasco and lands in an optimal spot today to get back on the winning track at his best distance of 1 1/8 miles. Won the maiden race at this distance, and then ran a solid second behind repeat next-out stakes-winning Timeline in the following outing in the Peter Pan. If he’s good enough for second in the Peter Pan, he’s good enough to trounce these. Jose Ortiz back aboard.

#5 Unchained Melody

Plus play an exacta box w/#4 Holy Helena

#5 Unchained Melody is the runaway wire-to-wire winner of the Mother Goose in her last start, and she doesn’t need the lead to win, perhaps running even better when able to rate. Owns the best speed figure in this field for that 100 earned in the Mother Goose, and she reunites with Rosario. Never throws in a clunker, and has worked well since that last race indicating continued fitness.

Play in exacta box w/ #4 Holy Helena, who has reeled-off three straight wins coming into this race, including a dirt win and back-to-back Polytrack wins at Woodbine, including a victory over the boys in Canada’s Kentucky Derby, the $1 million Queen’s Plate.  She’s the wild card back on dirt, but she’s the one to beat.
