Jose Ortiz keeps the mount, and even though this horse has been losing lately, he has  been facing better competition and looks tough here today against this field.

#1 Phi Beta Express

Plus play an exacta box w/#6 Grumpelstiltskin

#1 Phi Beta Express was beaten last in in a Grade 1 stakes race and should be forgiven for that defeat. Before last out he had rattled off two big wins in a row wire-to-wire with fast speed figures, and with the drop from Grade 1 to an allowance race today, he should get right back on track.

Play in exacta box w/ #6 Grumpelstiltskin, who finished third last time but needed a race in return from a six-month layoff and now is ready to step forward in the second off the layoff with Jose Ortiz aboard. Chances were compromised last time when he stumbled at the start and then rushed up to set a live and pressured pace at Saratoga. Will be tough in this race with a clean start, at least for the exactas.
