Plus play an exacta box w/#8 Leah’s Dream

#2 Sand Shark lost as the favorite last time when needing a race in return from a six-month layoff, but now drops down to the bottom level and will improve in the second race off the layoff for Pletcher with Johnny V. back aboard. Adds blinkers, so expect her to get involved earlier today at this 5 1/2F trip.

Play in exacta box w/ #8 Leah’s Dream, who faced tougher fields in her first two tries since graduating in her most recent race on this track at Belmont Park. Has speed and this cutback to 5 1/2F seems ideal for her, and her speed figures loom large down at this low class level.

#6 Angry Moon

Got KO’d in a speed duel last time out at 6 1/2F, but seems much more comfortable here today at this 6F distance. One-for-one so far in his career at Belmont and a big chance to rebound here at a solid price in the third start of the firm cycle following his long layoff.
