Race 8

#6 Mr. Buff

Plus play an exacta box w/#2 Forest Blue

#6 Mr. Buff continues to run good races and has done well in both recent outings with a win and a place with speed figures that look high enough to also defeat today’s field. Won in wire-to-wire fashion at today’s distance of 7F last time, but is versatile from a pace perspective and doesn’t need the lead to win.

Play in exacta box w/ #2 Forest Blue, who came in from California last time out off a layoff and did well for second despite needing the race. Now should improve in the second start off the layoff and also has good speed figures relative to this field. Lost to an very heavy favorite last time, and another similar effort against this bunch should again be now worse than second.

Race 9

#2 Flash Drive

Has speed and adds blinkers for even more speed today for Chris Englehart. Lost to some of these horses two races ago at 6 1/2F, but has much better chances to hold on up front at this 6F trip today. Keeps improving toward graduation, including the good second-place finish last time in a race where he was six-lengths clear of the third-place horse.
