No luck last time out with a stretchout attempt against a very tough maiden special weight field, but now cuts back in distance into a sprint, and was very good in the career debut sprint outing two races ago when she ran second with a speed figure that stacks up well against these. Should only be better now. Ready to graduate.

#11 Smellin Candy improved nicely last time out in the third career start for the best effort yet, and seems to have improved to the point where he won’t remain a maiden any longer. Exits a close second-place finish, just missing behind a solid winner who came back to run second against better horses.
Play in exacta box with #12 Pop Life, who drops down against maiden claimers today after two outings against maiden special weights. When last seen in for a tag, this horse was fourth but beaten just a total of a length and actually had the worst trip of all that day. Just needs clear sailing down at this level to at least hit the exactas.
